I found this link helpful regarding a KSA Transit Visa: http://www.travelvisapro.com/blog/transitvisasaudi/ I am beginning to think that I have all the necessary documents to be granted a free Transit Visa at the land border. I've tried contacting the KSA Embassy in Abu Dhabi, but I have not gotten a response.
I will also be driving a car purchased and paid for in the UAE (2004 Chevrolet). The car will have the blue export plates.
I will pay for Qatari insurance at the border. Does anyone know how long I will have to properly insure and register the car for Qatar? It will probably take an additional one to two months before I am in possession of both by Resident Permit and my Qatari ID card.
Thank you, karthik. My UAE residence visa will expire at the end of August. I will be driving from Abu
Dhabi to Doha, through KSA on a transit visa. Your information tells me that I should have no problem crossing the Saudi-Qatari border on just my U.S. passport.
I will actually be in possession of a work entry visa, but I was just curious if I would be able to cross the Saudi-Qatari land border on just a U.S. passport.
