Dear all Assalamalekum,
Here i need some help from u people regarding exit permit issue.
I have given resignation (dated 10/may 2009) notification in my company in 1st week of may with 2 months time period, my resignation was accepted by my Manager (company owner), Few days after that he asked for my passport which i gave him, i asked him reason why he needs my passport he said legal proceeding for my exit for visa cancellation that was 15 may 2009.
Since then i am asking him what about my exit, he is not giving satasfactory reply.
Please help me with this...
Is labor dept. of any help in this matter, as i dont care either they give me exit permit or cancel my visa, i am happy in both manner, its just i want to leave qatar.
One more important thing is that ever since i have given resignation notification the manager instructed the accountant to deduct any advances i have taken. Thay have deducted all the so called advance. & since last 2 months i didnt even get any salary.
Is law of qatar have any helping hand for me?
If yes then how much time dose it take what are the formalities, what documents required, & main thing is that how much time dose it take as my company not paying me its impossible for me to live without money.

I'm confused, a business visa can't be for longer than 3 months! Don't you exit the country every 3 months?

well friends my problem isnt solved as yet.

I am still in qatar, waiting for my employer to give me exit permit. only 1 thing is solved that i am getting salary. But as i have resigned in may 09 i want my passport with exit permit & leave back to my country.

(Mandilulur )I have not buyed my visa, my employer company has provided me visa of business executive.

I am not getting any satisfactory answer about my exit permit. what do i do next.

Through some sources i came to know that my company is in sponser change process since last 3 months, but nothing offically told me about it from company. So i dont know if its true or not.

I am highly confused abt what to do next.

Do i go to human Rights commision or Police? is it adviceable? & whats the procedure if i go to NHRC or police? & How much time Dose it take?

My visa (Akama) is expiers in jan 09,I am scared abt that also. what if my employer didnt provided me exit permit by then & then no visa also?

Please help me by telling the rite process which can be helpful to me.

OK, it seems he is here on a business visa and does not have an RP. If he wishes to leave, his employer does have the right to deduct any outstanding salary advances, loans, etc., that he received during his period of employment. But what it sounds like is that he was sold an illegal visa and that the employer is deducting the airfare, processing costs, etc. Who is right here and who is more at fault? Probably the employer although it may be hard to prove in labor court when one has an illegal status. Please, people, do NOT buy visas!

and if that takes up all your salary then that is your problem. But you should have a record of your advances and deductions to repay them.

The Labor department can help you get this straightened out.

have a proper understanding with your employer and mutually and amicably agree the exit procedure, discuss the issues upfront and try to arrive to a better solution than approaching to NHRC and Police station;

Remember, being you are an expat and employer is A KING in this part of the World....be careful and seek settlement across the table.

All the best!

Go Human rights departments and seek for their help to get the exit permit, that you are longing for.

Surely if the case was proven correct they will squeeze your employer to give the exit and the labour department to ignite your employer to pay all the due amount for your.

Also, check if your RP was already cancelled. If yes, you are on illegal stay in Qatar.

Cheers!!

One Love.

Go to capital security and register a complaint. At the same time go to your embassy and seek their help

If what you say is true, you are f***ed by a criminal employer and you should go to the police.
