Labour law expert anyone?
Hello, I am an Australian and have recently been dismissed for a hocus reason and was wondering if anyone may know someone to assist me. I am not wanting the job back but hoping I may be able to stay in Qatar to seek out some other possibilities as I am enjoying life here. I hope someone can offer me some advice. I have absolutely no clue on the autenticity of the following but this is what someone told me yesterday:
labor dept has recently started to give advise to people in situations where the employer is not giving the NOC to an employee who has an offer from another company and this is in some way linked to the conditions in the bid

You just need to convince your employer to give you an NOC. If they don't want you it should not be an issue for them to provide you one.
Submitting a complaint to them might not be fruitful, but probably it will give you time to search for another job.
