Normally once cross 60 yerars the visa applicant is at the mercy of the captain who judge case by case. But most of the time the captain will be just. The company where you work also got a significat role. The brand equity of company can influence the authorities while approve application. Another factor they look into is your profession and the salary you earn.

Above 60 application will be processed at main imigration office close to imigration RA close to Madina Khaleefa.

Paper you need.

1 Company/Sponser introduction letter with your parents pasport number and name. This letter also carry your proffesion and salary.

2 Passport copy of the parents

3 you and your spouse's passport and ID copy

4 Typed application ( can be done at Immigration office compound)

5 Reach Captain office around 0700hrs (Biulding top floor)

Gulf Times is carrying a story tomorrow (July 30th), regarding this issue. Pls go through. The story concludes that there is no proper guidelines and most of the time the visa is rejected on the basis of age. However, some lucky expats manage to get thru without any effort.

My parents got a visa at the airport(3 week visa)and both are over sixty.

Its probably best for you to contact the Indian Embassy and ask for how to do this..good luck..Below is their website.
