im under husband sponsorship which will expire on november 2010 and me and my daughtter will be going home on february 15 because my daughter will have her operation in march, ive thought of coming back in august for my daughter to be fully recovered plus the fact that i have lots of things to accomplish the succeeding months, but from feb 15 to august is already 6 months. ive heard that if within 6 months i am out of the country my visa will be invalid, what are the things we can do to avoid it and for me not to under go the processing of getting a residence visa again. TIA

it is better to inquire from the Immigration prior to your departure...

what i know is there is an approval letter and some fee involved for extended stay (for more than 6-months) outside the country with valid justification !

i guess many parents who have kids studying outside Qatar prefer to do that rather to disturb their studies and pay for the tickets - just for an entry within 6 months !

as of my experience, i think your husband can visit immigration and talk to someone and show the documents that support your reason why you have to stay out of the country that long. if your rp is still valid. i think they will just gave a letter to let you enter the country but, if you rp is expired no way.

renew the RP before you go, bring documents which will support the need to renew.
