Just a thought, why don't you try to contact the hotel that issued your visa? For sure they could provide relevant info about your concerns. It's best to be well informed by credible resources right? For your security and peace of mind.

Since you have the tourist visa - hotel visa - you can take ticket in Singapore for Doha and take the flight straight away from Singapore. Nothing to worry and no need for any authentication.

read:

1.once u have visa, no problem...u can enter Qatar from any country including ur won country, unless the visa says otherwise

2.u don't need visa authentication...i haven't heard of it!...unless u don't believe ur husband, then u need to check with embassy to make sure that it's valid visa.

3. ask ur husband anything u want to know,,once he got the visa for u, he can answer also ur questions.

4. as u are in Singapore now,u don't need to go to pulpiness again to come to Qatar. By the way, i was Singapore last August 2010

welcome to Qatar

hotel visa is a legal fiction here, it enables Qatar to admit people for a limited time who do not qualify for a "normal" visa such as the wife of someone who does not qualify for a family visa. Great profit for someone but not satisfying the desire for a husband and wife to live together. Rest assured, no airline will fly you here unless you qualify to be admitted! Big fines for them otherwise! If you can enter Qatar, abide by the conditions of your visa, no problems will happen!
