I signed my Job Offer for Qatar @ August 13, 2010. And I already submitted all related documents within a week. 1) How Long it can take for visa? 2) Do I get Visit visa first or work permit visa? 3) When Government office will open after Ramadan?
Regards,
Thet Hnin

Thet, sorry the last part of my response went missing upon saving it.

3.- Right now some of the Gov offices are "off" due to the celebration of Eid Al Fitr, and most of them will be back on normal track by Sept 19th.

Hope this helped.

Regards!!

Thet, glad to hear the news on signing the offer.

Let me try to help

1.- If the Visa is to be asked for for the 1st time it could take from 1 to 2 weeks on normal working time ; however by the time you signed off it was the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan so roughly everythiong slows down. You should do a follow up with the company on the status of the Visa

2.- What you get first is a decision from the company, however the one you get to entry the country should be already placed in the immigration system as a working visa (meaning after arrival and completing and clearing the medical check up it will be converted into Residence permit, RP)

3.- SOme of the Gov. Offices are now on holidays due to the celebration of Eid Al Fitr, and most of the gov related activities are "off" until Sept 19th. Some are still on duty however will be somehow slow.

Hope this is helpful...just have patience.

Regards!!
