Folks i need your help

I was living in Qatar but I got better job with international company they are locating in Dubai

my previous company has canceled my Residence Visa in Qatar and now I've already got my Residence Visa in Dubai

The question here can i come back to Qatar for visit with my new Residence Visa (as GCC Resident)

And when i can come back to Qatar, is there any certain period???

by the way my profession is Mechnical Engineer so
Which Visa I should apply to get into Qatar again is it Business Visa (I should apply it before i reach to Doha Airport)
Or GCC visa (which I can buy it from Doha Airport)

waiting your answers

You can visit Qatar as much as you like as long as your Job title is from the High Class jobs ( Engineer , Doctor , Senior accountent Etc. ) they will never stop you from entering Qatar or any GCC country as you can enter with Visa on arrival .

You are coming as a visitor not Looking for a job in Qatar .

You arent breaking any rules .

Enjoy your new Job and dont forget us in Qatar :P

there is no problem for you to come to Qatar on a visit visa; you can come and go as many times as you like and your visa will be stamped on arrival.

The 2 years rule only applies if you are looking to work in Qatar without a release from your previous employer.

Good luck!!

hi Black Wolf.....

next month i will be in a similar situation to you

im leaving to bahrain next month

and my new company will issue for me a RF as sales manager or electrical engineer

and my company here will cancel me

i asked a lot about this situation and if i come comeback with GCC visa for one month and renew it for another month

really nobody will give you the exact answer

the rules are not clear

and i guess they make it complicated so people are always lost

please keep updated if its works with you

in jawazet they told me that i can come for one month

renew it for another month

but when i leave back to bahrain, i have to stay there for at least one month before i come back again to doha

they wasnt sure about the time but minimum a month before i could comeback for another visit to doha

regards and good luck

As Saeedkan says - I would wait to see the consensus from other BMs. Or go onto Ilove Qatar dot com and ask the question of a BM named Amnesia .......

@ Black - which is why i mentioned my ex colleague - the authorities changed the law some time ago to prevent individuals coming back into the country on a visit visa and obtaining employment thus circumventing the NOC rules!!

Chairboy u r correct in case i want to work again in Qatar

but i want to come with Visit Visa not work visa

and i have GCC Residence Visa plus my profession is Mechnical Engineer

Hmm Im no expert god knows - in fact according to Qhris I'm thick but I rather suspect that you will have to wait for a period of 2 years before re-entering Qatar UNLESS you have a letter of no objection from your previous employer - I have experience of this - guy in my company left under good Ierms to work in Oman leaving his wife in Qatar (she had her own job and company sponsorship) but i was required to supply him with an NOC simply to come back in the country to see his wife!!!

You might want to get a legal perspective on this.

which means that i can buy the visa from Doha Airport upon arriving

and no need to arrange the Visa before arriving to Qatar

correct ??
