I want to travel but--->

I am planning to visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi during the long vacation on Ramadan/Eid but my passport will be expiring in 4 months time. My residence permit (RP) is still on process. I am scheduled to have my medical exam within few weeks. So I still need maybe a month long after I get back my passport from my employer to get it renewed. Supposing, the processing of RP will be accomplished within a month and that my passport will be expiring within 2 months when I will travel to Dubai, will the immigration permit me to travel?

start processing your passport by going to phil. embassy and just inform them that you will travel in the coming months but your passport will expire in 4 months time. they will allow you to renew and extend your passport then. However, renewal and extension will take 30 to 45 days processing also.

when they state that "to travel aborad a minimum 6 months validity in the passport is required"

How about contacting your embassy in this matter and ask them for support (meaning to get new passport or to extend the validity of the actual one)

Regards!
