My wife would be coming in the same way. Would like to know - can she work in any kind of job (banking, finance, consulting etc) or only some specific jobs don't require work permit.
would appreciate a quick reply.

Friend, ofcourse u can work...
Some companies make LABOR CARD..I too was having when i was working..Its not a problem at all..And what to do simply sitting at home if u don't have kid..So engage urself somewhere, i m sure u will get the job soon...BEST LUCK...

NO U CAN'T UNLESS U HAVE WORK PERMIT, IF CAUGHT, QR. 100,000.00 FINE WILL APPLY AS PER THE LAW
yes, offcourse u can easily find a job and work even if u r on ur Husband sponsorship. My wife is also working the same way. And there are many Private companies who donot require the Labor card or work permit.

You can work but you should obtain a work permit.
Yes u can work, lots of them are doing the same here, it is not illegal and is not prohibited as well, so find some suitable job and start working.
