Is it true cus been reading blogs here in QL for quite sometime now and some people are saying its tough to have a working visa for ladies same as my employer emailed me....he also said the same thing. if that so, I wanted to know what was the reason behind all this why the Immigration of Qatar is holding its visa specially for ladies? Thank you in advance.

Hi Parisia,

I've been here 3 months now, time flies. The kids are settling in fine to life in general. I wouldnt say its all nice, alot of things will not be per your expectation, and you can complaint on and on...

But I'm thankful for QL and friends we make along the way, I hope I will survive Doha ! I think the visa is worth the wait, so much in store for you. I wish you all the best.

One glaring reasons. As far as the law is concern on this, would minimise chances of mis-using visa for vice activities as what happens in most countries.

Hi Parisia,

Just to share my understanding of this issue. From what I understand so far, they do make it difficult, but its not impossible. Just this week I had a discussion with a colleague who was trying to bring in a new direct hire ( a lady of course ). It seems the immigration did reject after the 1st application, and now he is re-submitting for a 2nd try.

As for my case, I received my job offer end of August last year, and I only manage to get my visa mid-January this year. My HR did not inform as to why it was delayed. My guess it the application may have been rejected at least once, maybe twice, who knows.

It is difficult I guess, the process may have been prolonged due to the fact I am also the sponsor for my husband.

Hope this helps !
