I was offered employment with a Qatari firm, and they suggested they I sponsor my husband after I obtained my permanent residency. Does anyone have experience with the process? In particular how costly is it, and how long does it take? Thanks in advance!
even though recent law allows females to sponsor their husbands, it is extremely difficult to get it done.
As Mandy mentioned, make sure the Company not only help you with that, but that company's PRO is actually ABLE to do it. Sometimes even companies don't know how difficult to get some immigration processes done.
your profile also shows that you are a MALE.. i am confused here..but if you are a female, and you are a teacher, as per your profile, from my own experience, it is next to impossible for the female teacher to sponsor her husband. Unless - again - the abilities of the company's PRO are significantly above avarage :)
It's not costly but it's not really a DIY affair. Ask the company what help and support from them and their mandoub you can count on. Ask if they've done it before and how it went.
