check your visa here.. if your current visa is valid and stated your occupation is: engineer, accountant, architect, doctor, lawyer, CEO, manager or any higher positions, you can go and get your visa upon entering Dubai..

and if your current visa is secretary, sales rep, associates, labour, technician, etc.. you have to get a visa first before entering Dubai..

go to UAE embassy together with your documents and they will provide you visit visa..

It is better for you to go to UAE embassy in Qatar and apply for a Visit Visa. It will take a few hours to get a visa (if you have all documents) stamped on your passport, valid for one month from the date of entry. No one will get a visa on arrival if they are entering UAE with a cancelled GCC visa, irrespective of their designation on thier passport. There are certain desigations who can enter UAE and will get Visa on arrival provided they have a GCC valid visa which must have minimum 3 months validity.
