I bought my tourist visit visa from Fahd Travels. They are holding my passport & will not return it unless i get an employment visa. I have a UAE visa. I want to leave for Abu Dhabi when my visa expires on Oct 15th but my passport is with them.
Usually travel agency will hold your passport after arrived here in Qatar when you took your Tourist visa from them, it seems that they are your Sponsor, but they always return it back to you in case you leave the country or else got a job here. Just go there and ask your passport, also bring your offer letter that you got your job in UAE. I'm sure they give it to you.
If the travel agency is worried about such things, then they shouldn't be doing this. IT IS ILLEGAL for anyone, other than the person named in the passport to hold it - that includes your employer. File a complaint.

No travel company or sponsor can take risk to leave you without any check unless they know you very personally.
Sometimes, they may handover your passport on some Resident or Qatari National or Company's written guarantee.
Otherwise if you disappear some day and do not exit the Country on due date/visa is not extended/converted.. they will be punished.. !!

File a complaint against them at any police station...
Tell them you are going to report them to the police if they do not immediately surrender your passport - and then do it.
What is the reason they hold your passport? report to the nearest police station.
