I am English, newly arrived and my visa is being processed by my company.
I have a fiancée in the Philippines who would like to join me – firstly for a brief visit, but then to get employment and stay here. Can these visas be arranged for her?
It has been suggested to me that she can get a holiday deal from the Philippines for say 3 nights in the Ramada or similar hotel. This is not what she had in mind of course, but is a possible. How about a longer visit while she looks around to find work. She has a bachelors degree in chemistry and masters in English. She is not coming here to steal anything or sponge from Qatar’s national health system. Why is it so difficult? If anyone can help please contact me at [email protected]

As far as I understand there is still no divorce in the Philippines so your troubles will go on and on.

It is a very big deal if you live together and get found out, for instance her getting pregnant she has to produce a marriage certificate in the hospital I heard.

One thing is sure they will dport you if they find out and then yuor job and means of living are gone.

OK you are treading on thin ice over here...serious

what you are doing is committing adultery...v. much against Sharia Law

she should wait until you two are nice and legal...or you could both get deported

Thanks for the above responses. We intend marriage, but its not a quick solution, as she is already married, and divorce is another tough matter over in Philipinnes.

As to Mr Canarybird's querey (what did she have in mind then?) a response in in my original note (How about a longer visit while she looks around to find work

Thanks to all

Ask your company to give her a business visit visa.

What did she have in mind then?

It has been suggested to me that she can get a holiday deal from the Philippines for say 3 nights in the Ramada or similar hotel. This is not what she had in mind of course, but is a possible.

As mentioned above and if she is your fiancee much simpler to get married.

Being English... your question should be rhetorical....

rules are not made to persecute your girlfriend especially... they are made to tie up loop holes in the system.

Because many people have taken advantage of situations then unfortunately the honest people pay the price.

It will be a lot easier if you just marry the girl.
