Getting in a Filipino Maid

kas
By kas

Unsuccessfuly tried all the agencies in town. But have manged to find a suitable maid in the Phillipines. Since there is no agency, it means I have to process the visa myself.

What is the process for this. My (and family) RPs are done, have the letter from my sponsor.

What does the maid need to do at the Phillipines end?

Appreciate any inputs.

3. Then the housemaid has to go to the Phil. Overseas Employment Office (POEA) along with all those documents and the authenticated working Contract. The POEA will give her a form (repatriation form). That repatriation form will be filled-up by the housemaid then send it to you via email or fax for your signature as her employer. After you signed you can send it directly to the POEA Office. Repatriation Form is need to protect the OFW. That in case the employee will die (knock on wood) you have to shoulder the cost to repatriate the worker. With all those papers verified by the POEA Officer in Window 2 (for Direct Hire) she will schedule for Pre Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS). After that POEA will issue her an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)upon payment of more or less 100 USD. With that OEC and place ticket she can now HOP in Qatar Airways meet you and start the work.

I hope this info helps. :-)

What will the Housemaid do in the Philippines:

1. Have medical check-up to medical clinics which are accredited by Qatar Embassy in the Philippines. The medical result should be remarked "FIT TO WORK" for her to qualify for working visa.

2. If the visa is already available the housemaid will send it to Qatar Embassy in the Philippines together with her passport, authenticated birth certificate, and medical result with "FIT TO WORK" remarks. She will send the documents thru DHL (courier) not personally. After 3 to 5 days processing Qatar Embassy will send back all her documents to her via DHL also along with certification that she has a valid working upon her entry in Qatar.

What will you do:

1. Apply working visa for your housemaid.

2. Prepare a working contract between you and your housemaid. Sign it then send to your housemaid via courier and let the housemaid sign the contract. After it is signed by the housemaid, bring it to Phil. Embassy here in Doha for authentication. Then send that authenticated working contract with the working visa to your housemaid. For the working visa, you can send a copy to the housemaid visa email.
