@ Coolguy85. My friend the i am with the same scenario. i applied before, concerning NOC, salary and other relevant documents attached with the application are all ok. The only problem is my profession, it was mentioned laborer and my application was rejected. Ive been in 3 immigartion and done a conversation with the pffice in charge but unfortunate the same answer they replied.. Profession mentioned on my QID is not accepted to get a family visit visa.. What i did is, i coordinated with our PRO to change my profession to my relevant position be patient because it takes a lot of time & effort. Do it in a legal process. Coordinate with your PRO and he will help you. Just like i did before and finally my family visit visa approved.

could anyone help me to acquire family(wife) visit visa ? My profession in my id is labor but actually i am working as a sales engineer. My company provide me NOC with mentioning 10,000 QAR salary. Also same salary mentioned in employment contract and attested from Ministry. I have applied once in gharaffa, the lady checked my doc and asked me to request with captain, the captain refusing it saying its a labor profession without checking the documents properly. Can anyone help to take approval from captain ? I shall pay reasonable charge for it. please call me at 30711225.

@dominic11: hi did u get your visa? I mean (tourist to family visit visa to permanent residence visa). Please advice I've got the same case we'll be moving to Qatar next week, me with working visa & tourist visa for my family.. Thanks in advance :)

I've thought of another visa scenario. Is it possible for a spouse and child to come into Qatar on a tourist visa (automatically granted at the airport), apply two or three weeks later for a Family Visit Visa, and extend the Family Visit Visa the necessary number of months until everything is in order to apply for their Residency Permits? Is all this possible without requiring the spouse and child to exit and reenter the country?

I pulled up this thread researching requirements for a Family Visit Visa. Thanks for all the information. However, now I have a concern regarding attestation/authentication of documents. All my documents (university degrees, son's birth certificate, marriage certificate) have been authenticated by the required U.S. authorities and then by the required UAE authorities for my employment in the UAE. Now that I am relocating to Doha for work, is it enough just to bring my authenticated documents with me to Doha and submit them to the MOFA for the Qatari chain of authentication (which is what I've been told by he Embassy of Qatar in Abu Dhabi) , or must I send all these documents back to the U.S. to receive authentication stamps from the Embassy of Qatar in the U.S.? Thanks for your help.

To checlitz, one probable reason why you haven't heard from them is because of the eid holidays of government offices in Qatar (06 August to 17 August). Be patient and wait until the week of 18 August.

Hi, good day to every one. I am new here. And I am currently in the Philippines.

Does anyone knows about the business visa? My sponsor applied for my business visa there in Qatar through an agency dated last June 7, 2013. But until now, the visa ain't released. My visa was supposed to be released after 2weeks maximum. Yet, today is August. And the agency and my sponsor haven't received any update about the status of my application.

Do you have any idea about this delay?

Scorpio,

designation is very imp to get family imp. as far as i know, your designation does not fall under the eligibility.

Kindly try to get change your designation. For that, kindly approach your company & change job contract etc.

in a month it can be done, if company supports **

even supervisor designation, not getting family RP.

Hi everyone, a real case of emergency.

I joined a company in Qatar 7 months back. I really wish to quit my job as I am getting better job offers in other firms. My contract is for 2 yrs. So it is evident that they will not give me NOC and i will be banned for 2 yrs. My husband is working here in Qatar. But his salary is too low to apply for a family resident visa. I wish to know if I resign my job and once the company cancels my RP, can I come back to Qatar in family visit visa and extend it for another 5 months. So we hope by the time, we can make any arrangements for family resident visa.

Please your reply is really valuable.

Employee Employment contract copy

Salary certificate

Salary Package of 10k excluding housing (if you're planning to apply for RP). Family visit visa however, does not require compensation details.

6 Months bank statement (if you're planning to apply for RP)

NOC from your Company (Employee Sponsor)

Copy of Employee Sponsor's QID (Company)

Best of Luck!

Affidavit of support is needed, the immigration officer asked me when i went to qatar last March 13, 2012. To reduce your travel tax, please bring the OWWA certificate. from 1620 pesos it will be 500 pesos, a big savings better to bring the owwa certificate from your husband.

House contract is needed if you convert from family visit visa to residence visa. IMHO

Bring all your documents to immigration department:

There are about 12 counters. But if you fail in your requirements because they are so strict. Just get another number and fall in line again. but make sure you will not fall again to the previous counter. Show again your papers and I am sure your application will be approved. That's based on my experience. Be smart!

shakti its visit visa not residence visa, so 5000 Qr is the correct answer, and house contract is compulsory otherwise they wont accept ur papers.

1) NOC (No objection certificate) from your company with salary >5000

2) marriage certificate copy

3) ID copy of urs (RP) - sponser

4) passport copy of ur wife

5) accomation contract (if it is with u, otherwise try without)

Fill up a form there.

+

bank card (200 QAR)

+

Carry all other things with you (optional only, but better if you take it. eg:- degree certificate copy, passport copy etc)

They will issue 1 month visa, after you can renew 5 more months. For renewal you have to take your wife for medical.
