Family Visit Visa

Dear Friends,
i applied for a resident visa for my wife. But unfortunately it's get rejected even though i am applied with all the necessary documents. So after that i applied for a visit visa and now she is here and today completed the medical. Can anyone suggest me the next step to convert it to the resident permit. Also please let me know where i will get the medical report.
