I have been in Doha for a month or so and my wife and children are coming out in September. I know I need to bring them on a Family Visit Visa, which I will extend until I can apply for residency (approx 2 or 3 months).

What I do know is that for my family to enter on a visit visa, they need to enter Qatar on a return ticket.

What I do not know is how long this return ticket can be for. The initial visa is for one month. Therefore must the return ticket be within that month. Or can I say by a ticket whose return is in, say, five months after the portion to come to Qatar as I would wish to extend the visa anyhow.

Please help as I want to book the tickets soon and not be stuck with having the wrong return ticket.
