Family Visa and Idea on salary

Dear All,

I am from India and i have masters from the Top Uni in UK. I have been offered a traffic engineer role at Parsons. The package that is offered is very low. It is 8K, plus there won't be any sponsorship for my family.
I am very upset about the offer but the role is in my field and is good for my career. The problem is i feel i am being undervalued here because of the Poor European condition.

I want to know, would i be able to sponsor my family (in near future) with this salary. (basic 5200+living allowance 2800).

I also want to know, if i could change the company after a certain period of time as i feel the salary in very low but i need the job so i am thinking abt accepting it.

I believe seasoned people in this forum might provide a helpful guide to me.

Thanks for the comments.

I am already in DOHA.

I came here to work for a small Irish company. I worked here for almost 3 months on mostly projects based on Abu Dhabi. Now, they are getting projects here in Doha for which they need a Experienced person on VISUM.

I know how to use the software but donot have hand-on experience.

So, now they are letting me go.

I am screwed up. Here i was getting 5K+ food+ accommodation + access to car.

after three months of training, this package was subject to increase based upon market rate.

Now i have been apply for jobs and only Parsons has responded with an offer of 8K.

My masters is in Transport Planning and Environment from prestigious Institute for Transport Studies, Leeds University. Plus, i have 3 years of IT experience. My under graduation is from NIT.

I have till 28th to accept the offer.

Dont be upset, in your case, your nationality has been undervalued not due to the european conditions. The discrimination is always there in all job offers. Ball is in your court, play carefully. 8k is too low to manage high cost of living + less than 10k you cant sponsor your family + once contract signed must work for 2 years, cant jump unless NOC from your sponsor. Rules do change often but not in our favor always. Good luck.

Well, try finding another company who would pay you more. However, changing your work place could be a bit tricky when your here. I would suggest not to rush and find another company which may sponsor your family. Good Luck.

Kind Regards,
