family visa documents - who do I provide them to? Very confused!!!

I have emailed certified copies of my marriage certificate and my daughters birth certificate to my employer. I've also sent copies of our passports and my educational certificates (these aren't certified - do I need to get these certified by Foreign Office or just a solicitor - takes 3 hours and £27 per document in London!!)

When I get to Doha - do I have to take these documents with me or will my employer just forward the scanned copies to the ministry.

I only have a certified photocopy of my daughters birth certificate - should I bother to get another 'original' and get it certified - they have the copy of her passport.

I am so swamped by this and don't seem to be getting anywhere with the HR of my new company!

Thanks

Hi Catherineanne.

If I were you, I would get everything original and certified (attested) by the Ministry of Exterior or Foreign Affairs or State Department or whatever you call it in your country.

You will need your educational certificate(s), your daughter's (if she will enroll here in a school or university), daughter's birth certificate, your marriage certificate. Also your security clearance.

Keep the documents with you when you arrive in Doha and present them only when required. Usualy for some matters they need the original just to verify the copy but the will not retain the original.

Welcome to Doha.
