Extending a Tourist Visa

Information or Help on Extending a Tourist Visa

Hey, Thanks for reading & I'm hoping someone can help or shed some light on the process.

My wife and son arrived in Doha on Thursday. I've been here since mid Aug however still haven't received my RP. So they are here under a Tourist Visa which is valid for 30 Days? I'm on a Business visa which expires in November by which time I should have my RP and Work visa.

Is there a way of extending the Tourist Visa - Looking on the Government website it says it is possible however doesn't say where or how to go about it. I've also read they should have had a medical within 72hrs of arriving?

Any information would be appreciated.

If they need a medical where can I get this done?
Can I extend their tourist visa on the basis of my visa and no RP?
Is there a form that needs to be filled in?
Can I go to an office and close it out in a day?
