Exit visa and Job resignation

I want to resign from the company becuase my father is not well and nobody is in my country to look after him. I was only 6 months working in this company. I gave the resignation but they telling me to pay the RP Expense to accept my resignation. I thought its expense is 1200 riyasl but they telling me to pay 10000 riyal. I need to pay 10000 for my exit permit???? Please help me?
my friend immediatly go to labour dept they have no right to ask u to pay even one riyal ???!!!!
That is the correct answer that you must follow.
If that the case that they want you to pay (arrg), just tell a white lie (it wont hurt that much) that you need to make a emergency flight in your country because some tragedy happens and you will come back in 1 week... then after that, just don't come back! hehe. :D
Go to labour court ......nobody can stop u to leave job R counrty.demanding money for RP is just unfair.
