Exit permit system (some question)
For me, I didn't know about the exit permit system in Qatar until I arrive and start work.
Ther are some question in mind
Q1: Do you already know the Exit permit system before you come to Qatar?
If your answer is "no" than next question:
Q2: If you already know the Exit permit system before you come, will you still want to come to work in Qatar?
Q3: Will you still want to continue to work in Qatar as long as you can, you don't mind the exit permit system because so far you haven't encounter any problem related to exit permit?
Q4: Do you worried that one day you have some problem related to your work and your boss refuse to give you exit permit?
Thanks for anyone answer to my question.
Thanks very much t_coffee_or_me for your reply
let me tell my story
I have been working in Qatar for few months and than resign and return back to my country.
The problem was my work.
When I were in Qatar, no many work for me to do.
Every day is very free one.
Then there are some work for me which I am un-able to do.
So instead of continue there, I better resign.
not because of the salary, actually i am very happy with the salary.
My worried was, if I don't resign, later the boss find out that I didn't do work and unable to produce result.
I might have problem to get exit permit later.
Imagine, if the boss stop paying my salary, and I can't return to my country, and I have to continue paying the high rental for my apartment and expensive foods.
Soon or later, all my saving is going to finish, what am I going to do after that?
You see, I just couldn't stop my paranoid thinking.
such weird thoughts... why did you accept the job which you are unable to do in the first place?
of course it's better to resign... not because of your future troubles.. it's just not nice to lie to the employer and potentially to put the Company in troubles due to your unprofessionalism.. resign as soon as possible!

Been here for donkeys years and never had any problem with exit permit...
but would be nice if they did away with it.
