Dubai Visa Cancellation before Qatar RP
Hi, need insights.
I am currently a holder of Dubai RP, resigned but visa not cancelled yet. I am still in Dubai. I have a Qatar work visa on hand, employer expecting me to start on the 11th of Nov.
My question is,if I leave Dubai without RP cancellation stamped on my passport, will it affect my RP visa application in Qatar?
The assumption is that my previous employer is purposely delaying cancellation of my visa. I have a clean record.
thank you all for the response.
One more thing, assuming that it was not cancelled, upon entry to Qatar, will there be a conflict in the immigration if they see that I still have valid Dubai RP. Will I be allowed entry? :)
In normal cases they will not allow you to stamp a visa if your DXB is valid.
There is also a provision that you can stamp your visa by paying an additional 2000 QR, if you work with a private firm or qr500 for government companies. Though, it's always better to cancel your visa
In 2010 My PRO stamped Qatar RP even there was a valid visa of Sharjah in my PP... (profession in sharjah RP was civil engineer and Qatar RP stamped labor, later i changed my profission)
i think it is just if immigration official go thru your PP pages.. or may be by chance... but i also heard in 2009 some people cancelled their existing RP to get Qatar RP...
But there is also a provision in Qatar labor law that a professional can have multiple RP's but with different fee structure.. may be one has to pay more than QAR 1000.
you do not worry enter Qatar and finish all procedure and try... Good luck...
in Qatar there is daily new laws...
Actually Dubai RP cancellation has nothing to do with Qatar RP..But if you have clean record then try to cancel the visa and come to Qatar. Normally new employers will say its urgent and you have to join Quickly and our current employer will delay the process of cancellation. Its usual everywhere.
Moreover People coming from Dubai may not like Qatar environment. After that you may feel to go to Dubai again. So better cancel the visa and come here...Its good for all......Try to explain your situation to your new employer about delay in cancellation of visa...Keep in contact with new employer...Good Luck...See you soon in Qatar...
