I am from Australia. My origin is Bangladeshi. I am Australian Citizen/Passport holder and living in Australia with my family. My wife is also Bangladeshi and Australian passport holder. My daughter is born in Australia. She has Australian Birth Certificate and Australian passport. We are moving to Qatar. I am civil engineer and graduated from Bangladesh. I have few questions. If anybody give me the answers then it will be great. Alternatively you can send me email to sqms75/-a-t-/gmail.com

1)Do I need to attest original certificate or photocopy?
2)Do I need to attest original transcripts or photocopy?
3)Do I need to bring International driving License?
4)Do I need to bring Australian police clearance?
5)Do I need to attest marriage certificate or kabin nama original or photocopy? (I married in Bangladesh and since a long time ago (2002) when I was in UAE, I did attestation “kabin nama” and only photocopy of engineering certificate (Not original, Original is laminated) through UAE embassy in Bangladesh.
6)Can I use those photo copies in Qatar?
7)Is my daughter Australian passport not enough?
8)Do I need to attest my daughter birth certificate from Australia or? What is the procedure in Australia? (I do not understand why I need to attested my daughter Birth certificate? she has Australian passport).
9)Can I transfer my Australian driving License to qatari License? Or do I need to go for Test?

If I miss any information please let me know.

1. yes, you need to attest original and get stamped by foreign affairs ministry, at the back of the certificates.

3. generally Qatari traffic guys accept the local Australian license as well, but International driving license is good, you should get that to save you from any trouble.

4. Police clearance , if needed depends upon the company which is offering you job. It may be needed or may not be.. depends. if it is easy , then get one (my advice). Doing more is always good in qatar .

5. well you need to remove the lamination partly and get marriage certificates attested, it can save you form troubles here. Get it stamped from your ministry of foreign affairs. in the start they would ask you to attest the original from your embassy in qatar , then attest them form ministry of attestation in qatar and then they would finalise your contract to work.

* attest and stamped form your country of origin by ministry of foreign affairs.

* attest by embassy of your country in qatar .

* attest by ministry attestation or ministry of foreign affairs in qatar .

THESE THREE STEPS ARE A MUST .

6. photocopies will be needed everywhere..

7. daughter's passport for what ? it may be enough or may not be ..depends how and where you want to use it.

8. all certificates are to be attested ... this is teh thumb rule here. you cant question them. if you area white guy , then perhaps you might get some latitude, else no.

9.you can transfer your license , no problems with that .

I AM ALSO IMMIGRATING TO AUSTRALIA, GOT MY CASE FINLIASED .. I NEED SAME KIND OF ADVICE OF YOUR SIDE. I PLAN TO SETTLE IN MELBOURNE.
