Document legalisation
By mariam_elnagi •
Hi everyone! I have a question. Does anyone knows if for a foreigner to get a job in Qatar you need to legalise all your documents(diploma, birth certificate) from the Ministry of Foreign afairs in your country ?
And if this can be made also in the embassy after you are already in Qatar.
Thanks
Can anyone comment on how long (hours? days?) it takes to get an attested document legalized once you have dropped off the doc at the MOFA office?

The building is located in the embassies area, AL-Dafna. You will be requested to park your car in the parking of the mosque and then take the bus to the unified services unit. Karwa buses run every 5 minutes from the parking area to the buildling and vice-versa.
Parking area - GPS: 25.346396, 51.514458
the map is available at: https://www.google.com/maps/place/25°20'47.0"N+51°30'52.0"E/@25.3463956,51.514458,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0
you can also legalize your documents at of the below unified services units:
1- Meseimeer 2- Wakrah 3- Alkhor
Good luck,
You need to get it 'legalised' which usually requires attestion at your Ministry of foreign affairs. For more info see http://counselqatar.com/legalisation/
its better to have them legalized before you're here because you never know. most of the time the employee require any documents to be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar. so in order to legalize your diploma or any other documents from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar, you need to legalize them from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country, then from the embassy of your country in Qatar. doesn't matter if they are photo copy or original as long as they have original seal and signature Foreign Affairs Qatar will legalize them and they charge QR 20 for each documents. hope it helps !
