Do NOC needs to be attested by Immigration?

I got a new job in a good organization here in Qatar and want to transfer my sponsorship. Once I asked for NOC, my present sponsor told me that my NOC papers are being forwarded to immigration for their signature.....
I am not aware of this, this is the first time I heard,,,,what I know is NOC and transfer letter should be signed by the present sponsor authorised signatory.
Can somebody please have this experience, please tell me, why they need to send my NOC to immigration, if so, then it should be done by the new company, not the present one...please advise

Fiza4u...I think you are right. That may be the transfer form, they sent to immigration for attestation. Thanks a lot for your responses.

I think your sponsor send the application of visa transffer (form)to immigration for signature verification, thats why he is saying that he send the NOC for verification. For visa transfer NOC not required, only the application both sponsers (new & previous) need to be signed and verified from immigration, thats all.

Thanks for the information. They will transfer my visa, not cancellation.

Yes ofcourse your NOC needed to be signature verified by Ministry of Interior. But are they transfer your visa or they cancel your current visa and needs to come by your new employers visa showing NOC. so take care!!
