Dependant Mother (< 60) Residence in Qatar

Hi All,

I am exploring opportunities in Qatar Banks (Indian Chartered Accountant at a Vice President/ Director level).

I wish to understand whether my dependant mother aged 55 (good health) would be allowed long term entry or residence on my sponsorship? (I do not prefer the visit VISA route).

I would truly appreciate your inputs since if there is no way for her to stay with me for continuous time (say a year or 2) then I may not take the role in Qatar.

Many Thanks in advance.

It is next to impossible to get a dependant visa in Qatar and if you try for a job in Dubai rather than Qatar, it is very easy to get your dependants on a permanent visa in dubai and you can get in a day or two soon as your visa is stamped. That's the beauty of DUBAI!!

In Qatar, even getting a visa for spouse is difficult sometimes, ..forget about dependants. I am not disappointing you but many of my friends tried but refused.....

At that level I would not look for solution online, seriously, more so when I am in a position to refuse the offer. Best is to talk to the employer directly cos even if someone here says that it is possible the final word will be that of your employer.

I would discuss this at length with your employer. With their support this could be possible but it will take a proactive push from your sponsor.
