Dear All

I would like to know if i can complaint my company to the ministry of labour? Here's the situation, i work to the company for more than 1 year and im about to leave for my vacation next month and my company will give only one way ticket. They want me to wait in my country until they find me again a new assignment i don't know how long it will take. If no chance they will cancel my visa without notice.

I'm also transfer my visa to my company now. Is there any chance to get an N.O.C to my company or i will go to ministry of labour directly and complaint that company why did'nt give an N.O.C to me.

Please need your advise.

Thanks

A few days they file termination letter to me. How that possible resign already then file their termination letter to me and give me a treat. If I am not signing the termination letter. I will not receive the Certficate that I work in MAN Qatar, 2 yrs of Service graduity, and remaining salary. How it possible they can file another letter.

Dude,

You can file a complain to Ministry of Labour here in Qatar. If you are locally hired here in Qatar they should have to provide NOC for you unless you are terminated because of grave offense.

Again you can escate this to legal advisor so they can give you legal advise against your company. Make sure to bring the original copy of your offer letter and copy of one-way ticket if there's any.

Good Luck,

I'm already completed the 1 year for my year end vacation

and it's already overdue now supposed to be last december my vacation.

One more thing i remember aside for my 2 year contract, i sign a

contract during my renewal of Qatar ID when i read it, it's "UNLIMITED CONTRACT"

and now i told them if you cannot provide a ticket with return i will not go

for vacation. The reason why only one way ticket they will provide is after 30 days

from my vacation and still didn't find a job for me what should i do here. That is what they said to me.

It's not my problem, they hired me so its there obligation. Otherwise give me NOC or release

from that company. My concern now is if they cannot find a job for me so better to let me go and

give NOC. But their insisting that they will not give NOC if my visa is cancel.

This is the reason why i need to complain my company to the ministry of labour.

Sir,

I strongly suggest you to go to qatar labor division and have them sort out your issue in addition they will provide you legal advice and if there is any work around to carry out your problem they will let you know.

but no harm in trying. But your situation is common here. If you finish your contract and due for vacation, then they'll give you one-way ticket and hope they ask you to come back. Did they ask you to sign a renewal contract? If not, better start looking for another opportunity outside Qatar.

What are the best i can do about this matter?

During our conversation thru phone they told me that only one way ticket will provide during my vacation and the return ticket will provide after several months it will also depends if they gonna find again a job for me here in Qatar then that time i can comeback but i'm not believing what they said to me. I told them if you do that for me what will happen to my family if i stay for longer without any source of income.

When i asked them if they can give an NOC or release, you know what they said... "NO" so i said if you cannot provide two way ticket i will not go for vacation, and what they said again to me... (Vacation for One way Ticket only or Exit/Cancel the visa without notice or given NOC).

So any chance that i can complain this company to ministry of labour? I have a copy of employment contract and offer letter in my hand. They threatening to cancel my visa.

Need your advise...

This is case-to-case basis, do you still have the copy of your offer letter? It shows there if they will provide a ticket for your vacation unless stated otherwise... I hope its not in your contract because if yes I would assume that your sign is in there.

cassocck1980 ...it doesn't matter how many times you transfer sponsorship .... as long as you have NOC and there are no issues with you in the CID then you can transfer as much as you want.... I myself have transfered sponsorships 6 times and a friend of mine 13 times ....

so no problem

As if you were hired locally, then they should give you NOC, but be careful there's no law that states that and its not an obligation, they still can cancel your visa for 2 years, but usually when you complain to the minister of labor.. then your chance of getting an NOC will be higher than those who are hired from outside Qatar.

Good luck

If you are locally hired I believe they don't even owe you a one-way ticket, sorry.

@ Felix: Yes, I have been locally hired and transfered with NOC to my company now. So i have the rights also to complain that company why only one way ticket will provide to me during my vacation.

Yes you can complain to the ministry of labour.

Incase you company is sending you on vacation they have to provide you entire benefits of 21 days per year and subsequent months too.

As your case refers to Indefinate leave so end of service benefits should also be provided.

If you have been locally hired and if you have provided the NOC or transfer then you have right to look out for job and get your sponsorship transferred.

Take the help of minstry of labour and legal rights of humans in Qatar and act accordingly.

Regards

Felix
