Hello All-
I hope you can help me with below questoins...

I have an Australian Lady going to Doha for 1 year as a consultant and i am getting her a RP through a Qatari partner...

Can you explain what exit permits are in Qatar, I understand if you have a residents permit you have to have one to leave the country. Do you know how it works, are they hard to get, is there a restriction on how long you can leave for? Would that apply on her family too as she is the employed person?

Sorry for the many questions and appreciate your help...

Whoever is issuing an RP for her, must know all the procedures, otherwise how he/she can issue an RP at the first place?

Exit permit must be approved by the sponsor, and issued by himself or his PRO. EP indicates that the sponsor doesn’t mind this particular person to go out of the country, that’s all. There is a special form for it, or they can do it on-line, depends on the Company’s procedure...

To issue an exit permit takes actually few seconds, and it’s valid for 7 days, unless multiple Exit Permit is issued, with is usually valid for 1 year, and the person can leave the country as many time as he/she needs during this year.

Its not very complicated, if you are on a local sponsor (individual or company) you need an exit permit to leave the country. A form to be filled and signed by sponsor, then endorsed my immigrations(MOI)

Family under your sponsorship does not require exits

You could also arrange with your sponsor a multiple exit permit, i think its QAR 500 a year
