Can I open a bank account?

I just got my five-year visa through. I have a copy of the notification.

I have NOT yet done the blood test and fingerprints, etc. so I don't have an ID card yet but can I open a bank account with the visa notification?

HSBC have been absolutely brilliant over here,very helpful,even stayed open late ,specially, for paperwork to be signed on one occasion.Always friendly,nothing seems to be too much trouble.I speak as I find,so NO complaints from me!

I have not heard a SINGLE person say anything GOOD about HSBC - Qatar!

They're very lenient with their requirements.

go to the bank and they tell you the requirements! Not all banks have the same policy regrading basic requirements!

Yes, I did the same. My company only pay via transfer so they set up the account immediately.

Yes you can. I had a bank account here 1 year before I got my RP.
