Hi..

I need some information regarding visa.

I need to have a nanny for my 1,5 years old daughter as we will have another baby in the middle of this year. The problem is my wife can speak only in our language, she can't speak english at all even she understand a little bit when somebody talk in english. I need to have a nanny which have the same nationality with me, so she can handle my daughter while my wife handle our newborn baby, and the most thing is they can easily communicate each other with our language. Can anybody explain me whether it's possible to bring a nanny/housemaid with a same nationality to Qatar. How to do it? Should we need to apply visit visa then transfer it once she arrived or directly we can apply for a housemaid visa for her? Appreciate your kind feedback, thanks!

If legal way, NO !

But, illegal way, you could ask other nationality friend to be your sponsor. But you know the consequent is though.

Welcome to Qatar :) As I am also desperate to find good nanny for the same reason like yours, expecting new born as well and I am working.

Basically no.

My understanding is that the law is intended to prevent people bringing in their relatives, friends etc on domestic helper's visa.

However I've heard stories that exemption could be made on case by case basis by special permission (don't know how though).

Some people circumvent this restriction by using their friend (of different nationality) as the sponsor and do an underhand transfer once they are here. It is illegal and there could be serious consequences if you get caught though.....

Cheers
