Can anyone offer advice or guidance?

Wonder if anyone can offer advice... I am relocating to Qatar in a few weeks to work. I have been separated from my husband for over a year and now have a new partner.
My partner and I would like him to come over and find work in Qatar if possible - he would work in hospitality or recreation. Firstly would he be able to come over on a visitor visa and stay with me or does he have to book into a hotel? We are both UK citizens. If he comes on a visitor visa - can he stay for a period of time and then leave and come back?

I understand that it is not possible for us to live together legally but practically would it be possible?
Secondly my 17 year old daughter would like to visit in April - will this be possible?

I would be grateful for any advice - thanks

You can get married at the British Embassy in Qatar, as long your partner is a certain nationality.

I can PM you more information about it if you like... but you wont legally be able to live with your partner unless you are married unfortunately.

You both can come on visit visa and then find a job, after find a job you can sponsor you daughter also but about your new partner you can not stay with him before marriage in Qatar rules are very strict if you want to get married in Qatar it may be possible with required documents which will required at the time of ur marriage

Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies - it is my new partner that would like to come over and find a job as well.

Could we get married in Qatar once my divorce has come through?

thanks!!

Your friend and daughter can come on a visit visa but you will not be able live together with your friend without getting married and if caught both of you will be in big trouble. Qatari law does not allow such relations.

GodFather.

Sorry Tuds dear I am a bit confused about the question..

Is it you Ex-husband that needs to come? or is it the new partner that needs to come for work?..

Well if it the Ex-husband and according to you you guys are only seperated then Technically you are still married and should not be a problem for the ex-husband..

But there would be more problem for your current partner to stay with you if you are not married yet.

For all UK citizens, we get VISA on arrival for payment of QR100.

So no problem for you 17 year old daughter.

I hope it helps. If you need any more help do not hesitate to ask..Better know what to expect than to face the unexpected..Good Luck and welcome my fellow Brit..
