I'm writing here with reference to the above topic regarding my Job VISA.

1. Intereviewed on 05 Dec 2008 for J&P(Overseas)through consultany at Chennai. Till date no positive news. Should I wait some more time or look out for another opportunity.

2. No offer letter signed. Can VISA be issued?

Thanks for your patience and valuable time.

Offer Letter is a must before you join any company in the world. Its your aggrement between you and the employer for position, salary, allowance, benefits such as accomodation, transportation, annual leave, visa bla bla bla...

To join a company without any Offer Letter is a RISK especialy for abroad!!

I sincerely wish to thank you individually very much for your heartfelt/views comments. But I have certain things here which would depict aclearer picture.

Kyuting: I'm told that certain companies/forms do not give offer/contract letters. Is it true?

Qatarisun: Pls let me clarify you that the company rep who interviewed me just signed OK on the application format offered by the recruitment firm.

Thoma: None of the candidates selected with me have been informed about offer/contract letters till date.

MikiMikii: It's not clear, yet. Let me wait &hope for the best.

I would advice you to continue looking for a job.

After the interview, most of the companies give candidate job offer if he / she pass the interview.

Though I am not discounting the possibility of having you as a not priority candidate (back - up candidate) in which in this case the company would wait for at least a month before they decide in this case.

Good luck in your job hunting!!

Not clear whether you were offered the position or not. Interview itself does not guarantee the offer yet. At least ask them whether you are shortlisted or selected or refused.

my friend if you didnt sign any offer letter why are you expecting that you were hired? isnt that a requirement in any job? its like a contract between you and the company that you will be joining them. if this is the case, not unless they ask for any document from you i would say do not expect for a visa.
