Business Visa to Work Permit

Kabayan need your expert help regarding Visa applications here in Doha.

I am in Doha with a business visa. A company here in Doha offered a Permanent Job.

I will be exiting Doha to go back to the Phil because my business visa will expire

My question is:

If they processed my Work Visa in the Phil.
Do I still need to get a copy of NOC letter from my preious sponsor (eventhough my previous visa is only Business Visa) to be able to transfer to another sponsor and have a work permit?

Is there a new rule in Qatar immigration regarding business visa to work visa?

if you are exiting Qatar then the business visit visa is automatically expired as it is an one entry visa, so there will be no need for an NOC in that case, if your original sponsor is willing to give you NOC then you can change the visit visa to work visa under the new company here itself by paying 500QR to the immigration office, your new company PRO or mandoop will take care of it.

no need for an NOC if ipapacancel mo ang business visa mo.....much better not to exit cause it will take lot of time and money when it comes to visa if you are coming from philippines holding a working visa

sorry for the wrong info,, i forgot!! yes you need a NOC from the person who issued the business visa.. it should be in arabic writing..if you will not exit, but if you will make to other country no need for an NOC... i think??? just an exit,, because the business visa will be deleted automatically once you pass at the immigration...

Thanks for the reply.

Payaso: Just for clarification....

Even if I am already in the Phil I still have to get a NOC letter from my previous sponsor to be able for my new company to sponsor me? kahit cancelled na ung business visa?

Payaso is right.

Zingle, his Visa will expire already and he needs to leave the Country, else, a request for extension is possible upon Qatar Immigration approval giving the receiving Company an ample time to process his Business Visit Visa to a Working Visa.

A NOC is still required.

When the Business Visa will expire? An alternative would be to exit in other GCC country (Bahrain, for instance. Other option is to extend the Visa (if it is still possible). The Company's Mandoob that will hire you knows best and can do all these procedures.

If they will process your work Visa in the Philippines (under POEA/OWWA) it will be regulated under Philippine Labor law then that would entail more cost on the part of recipient's company.

Business Visa to work Visa still needs an NOC from your previous Sponsor.

well as far as i know,, no need to have an exit as long as youve got a new sponsor.. but if you want to exit much better choose dubai,, so the ticket will not that expensive.. no need for an NOC,, NOC is just for a working visa... ask your new company gm or mandoop thay can help you more about this matter... :) good luck kabayan
