No problem grace period is still there... It happens to me and that was 7 days delayed but things turn out well still.

same thing happened with my mother last eid..she also was given injection..they will not give your wife injection today cause they need to check it after 72 hours..that is why you were told to come back after eid..do not worry because the medcom will give you a delay letter and you just have to present it to immigration when you extend visa..i did the same thing

Nothing to worry about paying fine and all. Your family visit visa will be extended after the medical without any fine or hassles. Delay is due to the holidays and they know about it. relax and enjoy the holidats

Smoke, while giving for extension, the staff at counter asks how many months you want?, i have done that is why i have written.

Chrisni, i was under the impression that you can make only ONE extension after the 1 month is over, not on monthly basis like installments...someone please clear this for me.

Since the Visa is single entry type, better extend every month because if you wish to go back to native (whatever the reason is) then the money you paid is waste. When I took my family last year we thought to stay for full six months but left after 3 and a half month. Since I paid monthly I had nothing gone waste.

Dear, No need to worry. Just go to the medical commission on very first working day after eid holidays, complete the medical formalities. Then go to immigration and give for extension at the counter, they will check and say, ‘sorry medical report not yet received’ (they may ask when you complete the medical. Just tell them, a day before starting of eid holidays; their reply will be “it will take minimum 3 working days, wait and come”). Then you can tell them “the visa expires today and there will be any fine should I have to pay”. If so then pay the fine while extending, finished (extension just 5 minutes at the counter). But I don’t think you have to pay fine since you can extend to 5 more months and it is under process (the medical result is not received) and they know there are holidays in between. If you stay after six months, then there is need for talk about continues staying. Because after that no process except extension for a week or two. But within six months there will be no problems, it seems. Please note, after the first month and medical you can extend every month or 5 months at a time, as you wish (if you are ok with your finance). Before a couple of working days, go to immigration extend for a month and continue this till 5 more months. (You can only pay QR.200/- first time, and then QR.200/- next month and so on …………………….). FORGET ABOUT THIS. ENJOY WITH YOUR FAMILY DURING THESE HOLIDAYS. HAVE A NICE WEEKEND.

kool boy dont confuse him with your situation...your mistake for delaying the medicals and applying for extension...here its the eid holidays that are coming in between else he has plenty of time to do the medicals and get his extension done.

Vaava, they won't do the test today as they can't read it after 72hrs as it would be holiday. If they give you delay certificate, your problem would be solved..no need to get worried then.

By smoke• 11 Nov 2010 12:52

if they are giving you a Delay certificate then you have nothing to worry about..problem solved...no fines...you are fine too :P

Vaava after medicals you'll have to pay 200x5=1000 for 5 months extension. after that you will have to pay 200x(weeks) as per what they grant you.

per week is not 200 bucks any EXTENSION is 200 bucks, be it a month or week. 200 per month if she is on visit visa and you want to extend up to 5 months, and 200 per week after that extension. Just making it clear.

They can't do Xray as she is pregnant and hence will do skin test for tuberculosis. Results will take 72hrs. May be you would have to pay fine. Visit the the concerned authority and clarify your doubts. You will get variety of confusing answers here.

You can extend for 1 or two weeks by paying Qr. 200 per week and u should show a dummy ticket also. i did the same thing i extended 2 weeks after finishing my 6 months visit visa period. Try u will get but dont late further bcoz of eid holidays .
