Hello,

I use to live in Doha, i had a personal loan and a car loan, i got terminated from my company in april 2011 i stayed in doha untill september 2011 trying my best to find a other job to can live and repay my loans but i couldnt! i had my rent to pay and bank installment but i couldnt so i got in big troubles and decided that i have no other choice than running away, i was forbidden to leave the country but with some help i was able to get a authorisation.A qatari person i met last minute proposed to be my garentor for i can leave the country but of course expecting me to come back which i didnt.
i felt terrible about it but i was blocked no job no money and my company terminated me suddently.
Now my question is: i need to go to dubai for couple of days for my new job CAN I GO? or is it dangerous? i mean with my troubles in qatar can i still enter Dubai or any GCC countries? All the lans amount is about 100.000 riyals (personal+car). Please help me coz i have no idea whom to ask...

as far as i'm concern you are blacklisted for running out from your loan even you leave it with guarantor.all the loans has an insurance.I prove it because i was in the same situation before. But in your case as what you said that there is a guarantor that you get to cover up your loan. But i think if your guarantor was in trouble right now he will try to locate you more than the bank.Dont enter any GCC country for your safety.

Prize, you may be wrong. All GCC are connected and as the amount is Qrs.100K, the guarantor being a Qatari they may have put a police case or agent in country of origin for the poster.

They may be arrested on arrival at UAE Airport. But if the guarantor has paid the amount, then maybe no action will be taken. 2011 is not that far off. I know of a person who left the country in 2008 and the bank got agents in country of origin to source down the client and pay the amount with built up interest over the years.

Per my knowledge, you do not have a problem, based on my personal experience, your Guarantor is liable to pay your dues.

My personal experience, twice, I was guarantor for two people and when they left, my account was blocked and I had to pay their bank dues.

However, your guarantor being a Qatari, it can make a different story. Check with the UAE Embassy in your country of Origin.

On a personal note, you need to pay (be punished) for your crime, as I did not feel nice when I had to pay back a loan which I did not take, just helping a friend with supposed no loss to me. I am sure, the Qatari guy will be feeling the same.

I mind says nothing should happen to bother you while visiting Dubai.
