American nanny looking to get sponsored

Hi everyone, I'm looking to join my boyfriend who has a job in Qatar already. I am American and am looking to find an au pair/nanny position. Does anyone know if I am able to be sponsored from a family and obtain a work permit? I read that the employer sponsoring you has to be a Qatari national....

Any help on this would be very much appreciated

No. No, no, no. This is so not going to work. In the first place, nannies are paid from between $250 and $400 a month. They are expected to work six and a half days a week. Secondly, you cannot work for someone of your own nationality. And third, no one will sponsor/hire you knowing you have a boyfriend in Qatar. If you sponsor someone, you are responsible for their behavior and must give them permission to exit the country every time. Nannies must live in and cannot engage in illicit relationships with their boyfriends. And there are a lot of aspects of an American unmarried couple that is considered illicit in Qatar.
