Thanks to all of you for the reply. Last friday morning my wife left for hometown. I went inside the airport upto the boarding pass issuing area and stayed there for more than 30min. Infact i could find many passengers are accompanied by non passengers. Since it was morning time, the crowd also was less so no problem....

Don't worry..You can move in inside..Make sure that you accompany your wife all the time..I've been dropped by my husband till boarding pass counter whenever i've travelled alone with my baby...

It is allowed - You can go inside without any problem - You can tell the police there even that you are going to leave the family - He will allow - I have gone many times like that. Even the security now standing near the entrance they will allow if you tell that you are going to leave your wife - No problem at all.

Do as told above and on top of it, walk with confidence without eyeing those idiots at the gate.

I call them idiots because they did not allow me going inside while my wife was traveling with two children, one of them was infant and I had to yell at them to go inside.

Do as same as colt45 told and make a copy o your wife's air ticket and keep in your passport as well so you would be more safe to get in....

If you're all together they won't make a fuss. Just to be sure, carry your passport along with you and make sure you're pushing the baggage trolley. When they see a family and all have their passports, they don't usually ask for tickets.
