Hi everyone! Just want to ask if affidavit of support is still needed or required in Phil Immigration if 3 yr old child is on a visit visa and travelling from the Phils to Doha with both parents.
A BIG NO. You don't need that since you're travelling with your child. And believe it or not an Immigration officer allowed my Singaporean nephew to board the flight withour paying the airport tax because he doesn't have enough money to pay for it. Remember it doesn't mean tha a basketfull of apples is all rotten just because one is.

Affidavit of support is not listed as one of the requirements. No one really knows the requirements you just have to learn from others experience.
That was a nice and honest officer. That's how they should be: service the people, not exploit them!

No need for affidavit of support since both of you parents are travelling with your child.
Stick 2000 Pesos in your childs pocket and proceed to immigration. They can then board the flight minus the Pesos.
Maybe in the corrupt Philippines, yes. Else where, no.
