about visa stamping
I need your clarification, is it necessary to stamp the visa on our passport even if we are coming from Riyadh to Doha? Because from Philippines to Doha, visa stamping to our passport is a must. What if my wife (a filipina) is coming from Riyadh (exit/go for good) then she will come to doha to join me here having a residency visit visa. Is copy is enough to show at Doha Airport? Stamping not necessary?
Mr. Farash's answer is correct but in your case, you are coming t Qatar for employment purpose. If such visa need to be stamped from the concerned embassies. In your wife's case, in case, she did not land until now in Qatar, and you obtained her visa in nyour hand, you can endorse a copy to the concerned airlines. THen they will send the message to Riyadh airport stating that the original visa available at Doha Airport. In such situation, no problem for embarkation and disembarkation. Wish u all the BEST.
many thanks to your answer. I just want to findout if theres new regulation about it, because I went personnaly to doha airport and talk to immigration officer they dont have a clear answer. The last officer gave me a number to contact but no one answer until now. Some says no need stamp visa on our passport if your coming from Riyadh (within GCC). But during my entry to Doha from Philippines my passport was submitted to Qatar Embassy in Philippines for visa stamping. The visa was approved here in doha according to my capacity. Thus I just email it to her a copy.
thanks to qatarliving, some people here answers you honestly to a good path, but some give us misleading answer. Anyway "GOD is behind us".
If the visit visa is already approved, no need to stamp on the passport. Once she arrives at the Doha airport, they will check the system whether visa is available for that passport and the Airport immigration will stamp the visa on her passport. Visa copy also not required at Doha airport, but may be required at Riyad Airport to board the flight.
Hope this clarifies.
Is copy is enough to show at Doha Airport? COPY of what?what are you talking about? Visa in any country in the world is stamped into your passport not based on which country you are coming from... Visa and the date shows that the person ENTERED the country, and that he/she is actually in the country, and from which date. It absolutely does not matter where this person came from...
