Accha: haha bro you went down a totally different street to the one I'm in; don't make it about beautiful women and low income workers mate; that's not even what i was talking about; my mom when i had her, used to often get down from her car and give some of her colder grocery shopping to the construction workers she saw working in the heat on the roads and would send us kids to hand over food/iftar to the workers and policemen below the building. She used to say that those hard working blue collared men who sweat for their kids by day and cry for their wives by night are more real and respectable men than any hot hunk in his supercar.
So I've been taught well to love and cherish all levels of society and people as my fellow humans and brothers and to be grateful to Allah for my lot in life. I'd much rather prefer a big hearted poor man's company over a heartless rich man. And there's sadly no women at all in my life and i have no one to feel possessive/protective of. Just a lone ranger on his own with nothing to hide. So those two assumptions of yours about me are wrong and thus we will now dismiss them and throw them in the bin haha just kidding bro :-)
In any case, i fully agree with what you said about not reacting to people ogling your women. One needs to learn to live with all members of society and you'll never be happy if you get upset everytime someone looks at your women. I agree and you're right and that's my view too.
But I said in my comment that I'm really not talking about the "accidental/bored/casual/natural look' we all might give something as we pass by it. It was clear to understand. I'm talking about not the low income workers or beautiful women but rather about fellow drivers in their own cars and with a similar or even higher social standing who just like to look into others' private space.
It's just how some people are buddy; they love peeping into others' business/cars/homes/windows/phone screens and that's what I'm talking about. I'm talking about guys who crawl their cars nearer to another car just to get a better look inside. Or who stop behind or ahead of you at a traffic light and then spend the next 2 mins stealing glances at you in the mirrors while pretending not to be. I mean come on mate; if you wanna look at me or anyone, at least give me a bold constant friendly look so i can look back and smile or wave and make it fun friendly for both of us. There are many people in Qatar who are super sweet and friendly and who open heartedly smile and wave as they pull up next to you and it just makes your day; so I'm not asking for something that is from space or Mars. All im saying is don't be creepy about it.
Also, i didn't mean to praise the West at all with my reference; it was an attempt to back myself up in case someone said i was being unreasonable and especially in case my comment led someone to think that Muslims and their countries are just stuffy places with all these people getting angry about personal space and tinted windows. The point was that even in the West, with all these 'easily available to ogle" women and open beauty, people still get super annoyed when stared at and you absolutely have to give others their space. I don't need to say it but I'll still say it; I'll never use the West as a benchmark for being civilised or cultured and there are much better barometers to judge how civilised a nation or a people are than to compare it to the West.
I'm not sensitive at all bro and i love fitting in with all my fellow human beings and i too love to be loved and accepted by people around me so please don't make it like I'm some arrogant "classist' prince who doesn't like commoners looking into his car hahaha God forbid.
It's just about manners and courtesy to fellow road users and not invading others' personal space. Never mind, i had decided not to write any more long self obsessed comments on ql but I've decided on that many times and it just doesn't happen lol. Plus it's just fun debating things with friendly strangers like you on the internet hahaha so i think I'll keep doing what i do; type long winded comments completely unrelated to the original question/topic haha; i wonder what the OP Aslam has made of all this..
