Update:
I applied for Family visit visa via metrash2 while my wife is in tourist visa within the country. It was not accepted and overnight the visa application was cancelled. I met the captain and informed him regarding the same. He said that you cannot apply for visit visa when your wife is inside the country. So, Tourist visa at no condition can be converted to family visit visa as per the captain. However, he said that tourist visa or visit visa can be converted to RP without exiting the country.
