From my experience in S Arabia where I was maintaining over 30+ vehicles of different brands at an Italian company, I felt basically all the cars are the same with a small difference here and there. I was maintaining Pajeros also. I had just two garages for carrying out the repairs and maintenance. I found no difference with managing different brands of vehicles at the same garages. As such, from my point of view, if a mechanic is good at a Toyota, he is also good at Mitsubishi.
