"Like Lent, Ramadan is a time for fasting and abstinence." What a comparison!
What is Lent by the way? I have not come across a single time in my entire life when I got to see people observing Lent. It's the first time I heard this term while going through the article posted by QL. I had to Google to understand Lent.
"Public Displays of Affection are a bad idea." The writer does NOT know that this is not permissible at anytime throughout the year, whether it is the month of Ramadan or not. Public Displays of Affection (PDA) is not restricted just to Islam or to Muslim countries or to a particular month in the Islamic calendar. The culture and traditions of many E-a-s-t-e-r-n countries do not permit PDA. You will not witness PDA taking place in India or Nepal or Sri Lanka or Myanmar or Bhutan just to name a few non-Muslim countries let alone in countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan or those in the Middle East.
And the best one from this writer: You may not be able to "let your hair down in public for a month"! I really wonder from where the writer got this w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l idea! Writing something just for the sake of writing and to fill up space with views that have little truth or meaning, is definitely not a good thinking.
Qatar Living already has one Molten Metal posting a lot of rubbish non-stop on a daily basis without the need to add more!
