Your post was a bit confusing. You have stated that "look like the clutch burned". To my knowledge, a vehicle with an automatic gear does not have a clutch system. That was the reason why I suggested the name of the mechanic who has 30 plus years of hands-on experience in dealing with mechanical problems in cars. He would have been able to do the job if your car would have been on a manual gear.
Now since your car is one with an automatic gear, suggest you have the gear box replaced especially now that you have found one in good condition. However, just check with the agents of Pajero and find out the cost of repairs "with a warranty" from them. I am stressing on the word "warranty" as repairs of automatic gears is not an easy job and many in the field cannot handle it possibly even at the agents.
