When cars are written off, they may not just be damaged ones from a road accident. There could be many other reasons.I have bought spare parts from vehicles which were too old to maintain but some of their spare parts like the side-view mirrors or the rear view mirrors or the gearbox which were still in very good condition. And you could get them at 1/3rd the price of the original.
