This is the situation in most of the companies now a days in the Middle East.
1/if you ask for release : You may get release by forgoing your salary . But you have to take a call whether it is advisable to take a release at this present situation where unemployment is huge in the market. I could see many applications for a position.

2/If you want to take a legal action : you may get your money but they may black list you .
