@johnnylawyer exit permit is required even in Family visa I tried to travel november last year and I was stopped at the immigration asking for my dad to go back to the airport and should pay for a certain fee for me to be able to exit Qatar. My QID is valid until 2018 so validity date isnt really a problem.
